LAUNCHING INTEGRITY, VALUES & EXCELLENCE (LIVE)

The goal of the LIVE Leadership Program is to create involved campus citizens, life-long learners and academic leaders. LIVE leaders are engaged citizens, leading in a variety of roles on and off campus. They are engaged in leadership development throughout their time at UCCS. The LIVE program compliments coursework in any academic discipline and through the program, students cultivate a firm foundation for academic and co-curricular success.

The LIVE Leadership Program provides students the opportunity to make friends that will last a lifetime, actively participate in campus life at UCCS, develop leadership skills, and earn scholarship money to offset the cost of your tuition.

 

APPLICATION PROCESS
How do I apply for the LIVE Leadership Program?

Thank you for your interest in the LIVE Leadership Program! To be considered for LIVE Leadership you must first apply for admission to UCCS. To apply for the LIVE Program, log into the UCCS Scholarship Application. The deadline for admission and acceptance into the LIVE Leadership Program is February 2021.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
What do I need to be considered for LIVE Leadership?

Students must meet the following criteria to apply:

  • Qualify as a first time freshman during the subsequent fall term
  • Earn a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or above
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
What kind of scholarship does LIVE Leadership provide?

Students accepted to the LIVE Leadership Program will be guaranteed an institutional scholarship of $1,000 per academic year, renewable up to four years.

What are the expectations for the LIVE Leadership Program?

Live Leadership Program Expectations

  • Enroll in the LIVE Leadership Gateway Program Seminar
  • Actively participate in all Launching Integrity Values and Excellence (LIVE) Leadership programming to include:

  Freshman Year (Fall)

  • Complete the LIVE Leadership Gateway Program Seminar
  • Attend LIVE Special Events

  Freshman Year (Spring)

  • Attend the LIVE Leadership Retreat
  • Attend Wednesday Evening Seminar Sessions (6-7:30 pm, approximately twice per month)
  • Attend LIVE Special Events

  Remaining Years

  • Continue to participate in LIVE Special Events (at least two per year)
  • Actively participate in campus life at UCCS
  • Prior to graduation, hold a leadership position in a student organization, a student employment experience or participate in undergraduate research
